Filtering debtor statements greater than 30 days

Practice Manager only

You may want to only view debtor statements for debtors greater than 30 days.

To filter on clients greater than 30 days, you need to apply the filter “<>0” to these fields:

  • Client Aged1
  • Client Aged2
  • Client Aged3
  • Client Aged4
  • Client Aged5
To apply filters for debtors greater than 30 days
  1. Click Reports > Debtors > Debtor Statements. The Reports screen displays, listing your statement layouts.

  2. Highlight the relevant statement and click Edit. The Change Report screen appears.

  3. Highlight the field Client Aged1 and type “<>0” in the Filter column.

  4. Continue typing <>0 in the Or columns in a stepped formation for the remaining Client Aged fields, as shown below:

  5. Click Save and save as a new report.

To apply a filter for a particular partner and debtors greater than 30 days

  5. To apply a filter for a specific partner in addition to debtors greater than 30 days, select the Client Partner in the Filter column and select the same partner in each of the Or columns where you are filtering for a balance <>0. See below for an example:

The rule is if you're filtering a value in the Filter column and an Or column, the filter must be applied across all columns.

If we select Gavin Anger as the Client Partner in the Filter column and don't select him under the Or columns, the data is filtered correctly in the Filter column for 30 days for Gavin Anger but the filtering in the Or columns (60 days and over) will return the data for all Client Partners. This will return incorrect results.

Where you have multiple partners and you need to run a report for each of them, you will need to apply the filter as above to the first partner and then save as a new report explaining which partner the report belongs to. Edit the report and change the partner and save as a new report. Repeat this step until you have a report for each partner.
