Putting invoices on hold

Accountants Enterprise only

When a supply dispute arises, you can temporarily put affected invoices on hold using Bookkeeping > Creditors > Creditors Payment.

To put an invoice on hold
  1. Select BookkeepingCreditors > Creditors Payment on the main menu. The Payments window is displayed.

  2. Select the Ledger option. The Payments window changes to the Ledger window.

  3. Select the Company from the drop-down.

  4. Enter the Supplier Code or the Supplier Name, then press [Enter]. When one is entered correctly, the other displays automatically. A list of all outstanding invoices for the selected supplier is displayed.

  5. Double-click the invoice you want to put on hold. The Purchase Ledger Invoice window for the selected invoice is displayed.

  6. Click the In Dispute checkbox. The Dispute Invoice window opens.

  7. Select a Dispute Type from the drop-down.

  8. Enter a comment if required.

    Use the comment to record any action taken or people contacted, etc.

  9. Click OK. The Dispute Invoice  window closes.

  10. Click Close. The Purchase Ledger Invoice window closes. You are returned to the Payments window. The invoice now has In Dispute selected.

  11. Click Close.
