AE/AO Tax Manager 5.4.32 templates hotfix (New Zealand)

From 1 March 2020, IR will stop accepting payment by cheque. See we're moving on from cheques on the IR website.

This Tax Manager hotfix includes updated tax notice templates. They now print in plain paper format because we’ve removed the IR901DL watermark.

We strongly recommend you install this hotfix so you have up-to-date Tax Manager templates.

For tax notices with a due date of 1 March 2020 or later, use the updated templates rather than the pre-printed IR901DL stationery.

Follow the instructions in KB49545239 to take a copy of your templates before running this hotfix.

Install guide

Read through this install guide before you begin installing this update. It will help you plan the tasks required.

  • You must have MYOB AE/AO version installed.
    To check your current version, click Help on the main menu and choose About.
  • Ensure you have administrator access to the server where MYOB AE/AO is installed.

  • Make sure all users are logged out of all MYOB programs.
To install the hotfix
  1. Go to my.MYOB and download the MYOB Tax Manager Hotfix 49545239 – Install file and save it to your server location (where you installed MYOB AE/AO).

  2. Double-click the executable to start the installation. The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard window appears.

  3. Select I accept the terms in the licence agreement and click Next.
  4. Click Install. The installation begins.
  5. When you see the Install complete window, click Finish.
  1. After installing the hotfix, run the workstation setups on the SQL server and all workstations:
    • AO Tax Manager: \\<ServerName>\AOSQL\WorkstationInstall\setup.exe
    • AE Tax Manager and NZ Hybrid Plus: \\<ServerName>\CentralClient\TMAEWorkstationSetup.exe
  2. Check that the .dll file installed in the Deploy folder matches the modified date shown in the screenshot below.
    The default locations are:
    • Server AO: \\<ServerName>\AOSQL\Central\Deploy
    • Server AE: \\<ServerName>\central\Deploy
    • Workstations: C:\Program Files\MYOB\Central\Deploy or C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\Central\Deploy.
  3. Check that the .dll file installed in the Tax Manager Service folder matches the modified date shown in the screenshot below.
    The default location is:
    • Server: C:\ProgramFiles\MYOB\TaxManagerService or C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\TaxManagerService.
  4. You can also check the templates have updated by opening them.
    For example, the Tax NZ Tax Notice Terminal (Detailed) and template should no longer show the IR901DL watermark:
