Integrated Release 6.47/8.31 SP1—Post-installation

1. Click Contacts > Help > About MYOB Contacts.

• For AE Tax Series 8, the version number should be 8.31.02.

• For AE Tax Series 6, the version number should be 6.47.02.

• Both AE Tax Series 8 and Series 6 version numbers are followed by a section in brackets listing the service packs installed. This section will include AE Tax_SP1.

1. Click Compliance Management > Help > About MYOB Compliance Management:
   • For AE Tax Series 8, the version number should be 8.31.02.
   • For AE Tax Series 6, the version number should be 6.47.02.
   • Both AE Tax Series 8 and Series 6 version numbers are followed by a section in brackets listing the service packs installed. This section will include AE Tax_SP1.
2. Open and close each of your installed modules to ensure each can be accessed.

3. Open a 2019 tax return and click Help > About. The version should read 2019.0a.

4. Open a 2018 tax return and click Help > About. The version should read 2018.3a.

5. Open Practice Manager and click Help > About.

   1. Click Plugins. The Tax version should read 7.0.11.309.

6. Close Compliance Management.

On completion of these checks, the service pack has installed successfully.

Security group members with Super User permission are able to perform "Ready to Lodge" and "Lodge" tasks by default. We strongly recommend reviewing user permissions to restrict access to those tasks.

1. In MYOB AO, click Maintenance and select Maintenance Map on the main menu.

2. Under Groups, click Security and select Task Permissions.

3. Select Tax from the Product drop-down
4. Select the security group from the Group drop-down. The Group Description window is displayed.

5. Click + beside the maintenance group description to list the permissions for that area. The list expands and displays a checkbox in the Allow column.

6. Locate the Tax-Ready to Lodge and Tax-Lodge task items and review the permissions.

   

   Users are required to log out and log back in to apply any security setting updates.
