In MYOB Accountants Office (AO) Classic you can add or edit the assigned rights to a user or a group.

To assign rights to a user or a group

The following information provided will show how to assign rights to a user or a group.

  1. Start Accountants Office and log on as the Default User.

  2. Follow the menu path: Tools > Security > Rights.

  3. Select the Users option if you want to adjust the security for a user, or select the Groups option if you want to adjust the security for a group of employees.

  4. Select the user or group from the Assign to drop-down list.

  5. Double-click the relevant icon on the left-hand side, which represents the area that you want to adjust the rights for, and navigate to the specific item. The item's Rights section on the bottom of the window highlights.

  6. Select the relevant checkboxes in the Rights section then click OK.

If there are other users or groups for which you wish to adjust the rights you can click Apply and then navigate to any other items in the area that you want to assign rights to and select the relevant checkboxes in the Rights section.
  7. Exit Accountants Office and restart your computer to activate the rights.

If none of your changes have occurred then this would imply that your licence file has not been configured for adjusting security rights. In this instance please contact our MYOB Support Centre for further assistance.
