In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Tax you can change the header and footer of an estimate on and Individual return by transferring the layouts from Master Letters to Client Letters using the procedure below.

The Header and Footers for estimates on other types of returns such as Company, Partnership, Trusts and Superfunds cannot be at this stage.

This process will involve the following steps:

To transfer the header and footer layouts from Master Letters

Perform the following instructions within the tax return for the year that you want to transfer the header and footer layouts:

  1. Follow the menu path: Maintenance > Letter Writing > Transfer Master Letters. The Record Selection window appears.

  2. Click Edit to amend the range of layouts to transfer. The range of layouts is able to be edited.

  3. Type CALCFOOT in the first line of the Range field then type NEXTHEAD in the last line of the Range field. The cursor appears in the Mask field.

CALCFOOT and NEXTHEAD must be typed in uppercase.
  4. Click OK to continue. The message "Transfer ?:Calcf..." appears.
  5. Click All. The tax return appears.

If the program displays a message "Overwrite ..." the layouts are already available to edit in the Client Letters section of the Tax Calculator.  Unless you want to transfer the default layouts and replace your existing ones you should select No for each message.
