This support note applies to:
AO Tax (NZ)
In MYOB Accountants Office (AO) when you have received IRD Data for a client, and you have not prepared the Tax return in AO Classic, you will still need to confirm the transactions.
These instructions are provided to assist with this process.
Perform the following from within MYOB AO.
Click on the Tax icon. The Find Tax Clients tab opens.
Search for your client and click the IRD Number. The Tax Manager - Summary screen opens.
Right click in the Status column of the Assessment and select Accepted assessment. A green tick appears in the Status column. The Assessment is confirmed.
From the Tax Manager - Summary screen perform the following:
Click Reconciliation from the Tasks pane. The Tax Manager - Reconciliation screen opens.
Select the MYOB and IRD transactions. The checkboxes are ticked.
Click Reconcile from the Tasks pane. The two entries are combined into one line and the status appears as confirmed.
From the Tax Manager - Reconciliation screen perform the following:
Select the IRD transaction. The checkbox is ticked.
Click Add selected item from the Tasks pane. A corresponding MYOB entry is inserted and confirms the IRD transaction.
