The ceedata.ini file controls the settings for each workstation operating MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) compliance applications.
Copying the ceedata.ini file from one workstation to another, or from one user profile to another can resolve multiple issues experienced in Contacts, Client Compliance, AE Accounts and other compliance applications.
The following procedures will guide you through how to locate and copy the ceedata.ini from one workstation to another.
1. Locate ceedata.ini
The location of the ceedata.ini file can change depending on your network and operating system. Refer to the table below for standard locations.
Network or Operating System | Location of ceedata.ini |
---|
Windows 7 | C:\Windows\ |
Windows 8 | C:\Windows\ |
Windows 10 | C:\Windows\ or C:\Users\MYOB\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows |
Terminal Server - User copy | C:\Users\<UserName>\Windows\ |
Terminal Server - Server copy | C:\Windows\ |
If there is no ceedata.ini file in the respective directory, run a Contacts/Client Compliance workstation setup. This will create a ceedata.ini file in the Windows folder.
The user copy of the ceedata.ini file may reside in a different directory to the above on a terminal server environment. If this is the case, check the %HOMEPATH% Windows folder directory. Alternatively, you can search for ceedata.ini using Search for files or folders in the Windows Start menu.
