Deleting weekend day time processing periods

If using daily time processing periods, you can delete weekend time processing periods so that these dates do not appear on the missing timesheet report.

If you are using standing orders all time processing periods for the month must exist, including Saturdays and Sundays.  A standing order may fall on a Saturday or Sunday and if it is not included in the processing period the standing order will not be created.

To delete time processing periods

The instructions below use the example of deleting Saturday and Sunday time processing periods from July.

  1. In Accountants Enterprise (AE) Practice Manager (PM), follow the menu path Maintenance > Time Setup > Processing Time Setup. The Processing Time Setup page appears.
  2. For the month of July, the click the plus button (
    ) to expand. A list of time processing categories for the month of July appears.
  3. Click the plus button (
    ) for the Daily Time Processing Category.
    A list of dates for the month of July appears.
  4. Select the first Saturday and press the DELETE key on the keyboard. Repeat this step for all Saturday and Sundays. The time processing period for Saturday is deleted.

    If the prompt "Unable to delete accounting period as it is in use" appears, you will first need to first delete any unposted timesheets to this date prior to deletion. If timesheets have been posted to this date, you will be unable to delete the time processing period.
