In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Reporter (AE Reporter) only 6 livestock categories were implemented, however the AE MAS master chart allows for 7 categories.
If you need to record a 7th livestock account range, you need to make adjustments within the chart map, formats and reports to include the extra category.
To add the extra livestock account range you need to make the following changes.
1. Create extra chart map items
- From within a MAS ledger follow the menu path: Reports > Reporter > Design Practice Reports. The Practice - Report Designer screen appears displaying all Reports available in the left-hand pane.
- Click the Chart Map tab.
- Right-click on Management.LivestockTrading and select Copy to Practice.
- Right-click on Livestock06 and select Copy.
- Right-click on LivestockTrading and select Paste.
- Right-click on Livestock061 and select Edit.
- Edit the Folder Name to Livestock07 and click Apply then Close.
- Double-click the chart map item Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Closing.
- Click Account Ranges.
- Edit the Account ranges as per table below, click Apply then click Close.
Repeat steps 8 to 10 as per the table below.

2. Edit existing Livestock Report format
From within a MAS ledger follow the menu path: Reports > Reporter > Design Practice Reports.
Click the Formats tab.
Double-click on the format Livestock Report.
Navigate to row 300 left-click on the row control and drag and highlight from row 300 to row 360. Rows 300 to 360 are highlighted.
Right-click on the row control for row 360 and select Copy.
Right-click on the row control for row 361 and select Paste.
Position the cursor in cell B363. The cell contains: =ACCOUNTVALUE(155, DESCRIPTION).
Type =ACCOUNTVALUE(165, DESCRIPTION) and press ENTER.
Right-click on the row control for row 363 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07 in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 365 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Sales in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 372 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Opening in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 376 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Purchases in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 380 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.NaturalIncrease in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 387 and select Repeat. .
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Deaths in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 391 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Rations in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 395 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Closing in the Repeat for field and click OK..
Right-click on the row control for row 405 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Opening in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 409 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Purchases in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Right-click on the row control for row 413 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.NaturalIncrease in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Click Close. The message "Save changes to format Livestock Report" appears.
Click Yes.
3. Edit existing P&L Farm Income format
Click the Formats tab.
Double click on the format P&L Farm Income.
Right-click on the row control for row 9 and select Insert.
Right-click on the row control for row 8 and select Copy.
Right-click on the row control for row 9 and select Paste.
Right-click on the row control for row 9 and select Repeat.
Select Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Heading in the Repeat for field and click OK.
Position the cursor in cell B9. The cell contains: =IF(CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock06<=0,DESCRIPTION,ALTDESCRIPTION).
Type =IF(CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07<=0,DESCRIPTION,ALTDESCRIPTION) and press ENTER.
Position the cursor in cell D9. The cell contains: =CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock06-CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock06.StockOnHandBS.
Type =CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07-CM.Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.StockOnHandBS and press ENTER.
Position the cursor in cell D10. The cell contains =SUM(D3:D8)
Type =SUM(D3:D9) and press ENTER.
Position the cursor on print condition in D10. The cell contains =COUNTROWS(3:8)>0
Type =COUNTROWS(3:9)>0and press ENTER.
Click Close. The message "Save changes to format Management.LivestockTrading.Livestock07.Heading" appears.
Click Yes.
4. View dependencies and edit other dependent reports
Click the Chart Map tab.
- Right-click on the chart map item Management.Livestock Trading.Livestock06 and select View Dependencies. The message View Dependencies:Format screen appears listing all the reports that are dependant on chart map item Management.Livestock Trading.Livestock06.
- Repeat steps 2 to 17 from 'How to edit P&L Farm Income format' instructions for all formats listed and ensure all dependent formats are edited.
