EI: V7 "Length of Family Name is to long"

This support note applies to:

• AO Tax (AU)
• AE Tax Series 6 & 8 (AU)
• AE Tax (AU)

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and MYOB Accountants Office (AO) Tax you may experience the error V7: "Length of Family Name is too long" when validating tax returns.

This error indicates that the last name is longer than the maximum character limit of 30 characters.

PLS will reject returns where the last name does not exactly match ATO records as a result this return cannot be lodged via PLS.

We've fixed this issue in MYOB Tax version 2018.0. Download the update from my.myob.
