Entering non-transaction data at practice level

This support note applies to:

  • AE Reporter (NZ)

Article ID: 33868

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Reporter (AE Reporter) the Database Map is where you enter non-transaction data such as disclosure requirements, directors' names, and dates of meetings as well as information relating to your accounting practice.

You can enter this information at a practice level therefore eliminating the necessity to enter this information for each ledger. For example, at practice level, you enter your own practice name and address which then appears in the Compilation Report of all ledgers.

To enter data at practice level
  1. Open a AE MAS ledger and follow the menu path Reports > Reporter > Design Practice Reports. The Practice Report Designer screen appears displaying all reports available in the left-hand pane.

  2. Click the Database Map tab .The Database Map displays in the left-hand pane.

  3. Click the required database map table then click the View/Edit database map data icon at the top of the left-hand pane. The Database Map Editor opens in the right-hand pane with the available fields ready for data entry.

  4. Enter the relevant information and click Apply. The data is saved at practice level.

  5. When all the data entry for the open table is complete, click Close. The database map table is closed.

  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for all tables requiring data entry at practice level if necessary.
