In MYOB Accountants Office Classic (AO Classic) when opening AO Classic via a workstation or Tax Manager, ie Return Preparation you may experience the following error:
"1429/OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from MYOB.Tax.TaxMan.Client.BusinessLogic: A remote side security - getpracticedefaultsettings (line 16) - taxtmlink"
To resolve this error you need to set up a workgroup for use with Tax Manager.

- Follow the menu path: Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. The Services window appears.
- Right click the MYOB Tax Manager Service and select Restart. The service is restarted.
- Log back into AO Classic. The error no longer occurs.
