Error: "1429/OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from MYOB.Tax.TaxMan.Client.BusinessLogic: A remote side security..."

In MYOB Accountants Office Classic (AO Classic) when opening AO Classic via a workstation or Tax Manager, ie Return Preparation you may experience the following error:

"1429/OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from MYOB.Tax.TaxMan.Client.BusinessLogic: A remote side security - getpracticedefaultsettings (line 16) - taxtmlink"

To resolve this error you need to set up a workgroup for use with Tax Manager.

If you are running on a domain, this error can occur after you have rebooted the server.  In this situation, to resolve the error you need to restart the Tax Manager Service.
To restart the Tax Manager Service
  1. Follow the menu path: Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. The Services window appears.
  2. Right click the MYOB Tax Manager Service and select Restart. The service is restarted.
  3. Log back into AO Classic. The error no longer occurs.
