In MYOB Accountants Enterprise MAS (AE MAS) you may experience the error “A default print device must be configured before you can run reports. Please check the Windows Control Panel.” when trying to print after installing System Release version 8.0.
This error indicates that you need to refresh the default Page Setup in System Release.
To refresh the default System Release page setup you will need to:
1. Determine the default Page setup
- Log in to System Release.
- On the status bar at the bottom of the System Release window you will see Printer not selected/Default Page setup name, where Default Page setup name is the name of the default page setup.
2. Refresh the Page setup
- In System Release from the File menu, select Page setup.
- Select the page setup from Step 2 of Determine the default Page setup and click Properties.
- Note the name of the name of the printer that appears in the Printer field and then remove the tick from Apply a default printer for this page setup.
- Click OK. .
- Press the Esc key until you have exited System Release..
- Open System Release and follow the menu path File>Page setups.
- Select the page setup from Step 2 of "Determine the default Page setup" and click Properties.
- Tick the Apply a default printer for this page setup and select the printer that was noted in Step 3 then click OK.
You will now be able to print from System Release.
