In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Reporter, when opening the Reporter Designer you may get the error A session of 'Designer' has been detected. Please close this session in order to continue.

To open AE Reporter without the error:

  • close any sessions of the Reporter Designer

  • end the AE Reporter Process.

To close all sessions of Report Designer on the workstation

  1. On you keyboard, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and follow any prompts. The Task Manager window appears.

  2. For all running instances of Reporter Designer:

    1. Select an instance of Report Designer and click Switch To. The Report Designer appears.

    2. Close Report Designer.

To end the Reporter Designer process

  1. On you keyboard, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and follow any prompts. The Task Manager window appears.

  2. Click the Processes tab. The running processes are listed.

  3. Select S6RPLauncher.exe or S6RPLA~1.exe and click End Process. A warning appears.

  4. Click Yes. The process executable is closed.
