In MYOB AE if you see this error "Allocating receipts with mixed tax rates is not supported" when trying to allocate 2 receipt entries, it means that you are trying to allocate a negative receipt against a positive receipt with different tax rates.
You can check the tax rates against each entry in the Tr column in the Debtors Ledger.
To fix the error highlight one of the entries and click Unallocate. Select the tax rate that matches the other entry and click OK.
You can now highlight both entries & select Allocate. Once allocated the entries will disappear.
