Error: "Application template not found" when launching Tax or MAS from AE Practice Manager

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Practice Manager (AE PM) you may see the following error "Application template not found" when launching into Tax or Management Accounting System (MAS) applications from AE PM.

This message indicates that the ledger path is incorrect in the Configuration table.

The instructions below use the example launching AE Tax installed in E:\sol63 directory and launching AE MAS installed in the C:\S6client directory.

You can copy these commands from this article and paste into the Configuration table and update the relevant specific information relating to your installation, for example the installed location and the current tax year.

To update the Configuration items

Completed the following steps in AE PM.

  1. Follow the menu path: Maintenance > User Defined > Configuration. The Configuration page appears.
  2. Click in the Key Name as required and type the relevant command in the Key Value field:

    Tax
    Key Name = Sol6Tax Ledger
    Key Value = sr EPSTART E:\SOL63\TAX\Tax2013 -cCLIENTCODE

    Where:
    E:\SOL63 is the installation directory of Tax, TAX is the ledger code for your Tax ledger and Tax2013 is your current tax ledger.

    The Tax current year is case sensitive, therefore if Tax is in uppercase you will still see the error message.


    MAS
    Key Name = Sol6MAS Ledger
    Key Value = sr EPSTART C:\S6CLIENT\CLIENTCODE/MAS4

    Where:
    S6CLIENT is the installation directory of MAS.

  3. Click OK. The changes are saved.
