In MYOB Document Manager (MYOB DM) version 4.0.7, you may experience the following error when an excel document is opened in MYOB DM and contains graphics

"DMFile.CreateExcelFooterAndInsertReferenceNumber Unable to cast COM object of type'System._ComObject' to interface type "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet'.  The operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID "(000208D8-0000-0000-C000-00000000046)" failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004002 (E_NONINTERFACE))."

To resolve this issue download and install Document Manager 4.0.7 Hotfix or 4.0.9 which allows you to turn off the Insert Reference feature causing this issue.

The hotfix contains the ability to change the default setting that inserts the reference number into the spreadsheet.

If you are running Document Manager 4.0.9 please turn off the reference number display settings as per notes below.

MYOB is investigating this issue and will resolve this issue in a future release.

Turn off the reference number display setting

This is a system wide setting, by performing these instructions it will apply to all Excel documents.
After installing the DM 4.0.7 Hotfix:
  1. Follow the menu path: Maintenance > Maintenance Maps > Documents > Document Manager Setup. The Document Manager Setup tab displays.
  2. Select Application. The Application tab displays.
  3. De-select the Show reference number in footer for MS Excel documents checkbox. The tick is removed. This setting will now apply to any Excel documents opened thereafter.
