Error: "Duplicate surrogate key found" when adding journals

If you have configured an MYOB AccountRight file to MYOB Client Accounting, you may experience the error "Duplicate surrogate key found" when adding journals in Trial Balance (Workpapers) .

This error appears after clicking OK to add the new journals in the Add Journal window.

To workaround this error

  1. Manually enter the transaction directly into the AccountRight file.

  2. You can then Refresh ledger balances to display the updated balances in the Trial Balance (Workpapers) view.
