In MYOB Accountants Enterprise Assets (AE Assets) you may experience the error  "Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted.Requested operation requires a current record. Last known position is: RunVerifications" when accessing an AE Assets Ledger that is integrated to an AE MAS ledger.

This may occur where there is a blank date line in the AE MAS ledger Revise Periods details.

To resolve this error, remove the blank date line from the MAS period structure by following the procedures below:

1. Back up the MAS ledger

In MYOB System Release, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Ledgers listing window right click on the relevant Ledger and select Backup. The Ledger Backup Wizard window appears.
  2. Click Next. The Select source ledgers screen appears.

If you initiate the backup from the Ledgers folder, the Confirm Operation window appears, click Next then continue with step 3.
  3. Select the required option in the Ledgers chosen section, then click Next. The options available are:

As selectedincludes only files for the selected ledger in the backup
Related ledgersincludes all ledgers with the same Client Code.
All in folderincludes all ledgers that exist in the folder from which the backup is initiated; an
Customdefaults all ledgers in the current folder and allows you to select the individual items you wish to include. Highlight the required items to back up.
  4. Review the Backup location and Backup name and if correct click Next. The Completing the Ledger Backup Wizard screen appears.

Click Browse to select an alternate location and amend the Backup name on this window as required.
  5. Click Finish. The backup process executes and creates a file in the specified location. The backup file has the name ss<unique number>.zip.

2. Run the Revise Periods function to remove the blank date line
  1. From within the AE MAS ledger, from the Utilities menu, select Revise Periods.
  2. In the Revise Periods screen, double click the blank date line.
  3. In the Edit Period Details type the correct Start date and End date, then click OK.

If the blank date is at the top of the screen, then the date will be a year before the next date.
  4. Click Execute. The message appears "Period details have changed. Balances to be recalculated. Proceed?"
  5. Click Yes. The Journal Entries dialogue box appears. The questions in this box aren't relevant to Australian requirements. Click OK.

The Revise Periods routine proceeds and once completed, the MAS ledger appears.

MYOB INTERNAL STAFF ONLY

If issue still occurs, disable the integration between the MAS ledger and Assets ledger, click OK to any error messages you receive, then try re-launching.

Otherwise, take in a copy of the client's .AST file and use Microsoft Access to open the file and view the PFAssetControlGroupExension table.

If a ledger is integrated to the General Ledger, this table should not contain any records. In this case, delete the records in this table.
