Error: "Failed to Create Job" when creating a job/assignment for a new client
This support note applies to:
- AE Practice Manager (NZ)
- AE Practice Manager (AU)
If you get the error "Failed to create Jobs" when creating a job/assignment from template, ensure the client\assignment code is sixteen or less characters.
You may also get the error:
- if the assignment partner and assignment manager have been deleted from Responsibility Types, or
- when adding an assignment to the internal client where Lost Time has been deleted from Extra Lists.

Re-tested this using AE 5.2. It's possible to create an assignment with a client code/assignment code of 17 characters. This is made up of 7 for the client code (the maximum allowed by the system) and 10 for the assignment code. The system restricts the Code As field on the assignment template to 10 characters.
When creating a one-off assignment the assignment code is also restricted to 10 characters maximum.
