Error: "Failed to start \\servername\Central\KMShareit.exe"

This support note applies to:

  • AO Document Manager (AU)

In MYOB Document Manager (DM) you may experience the following error "Failed to start \\servername\Central\KMShareit.exe.  Reason:  The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" when adding documents.

To resolve this error you need to restart the Document Manager indexing and restart the Document Manager File Store (DMFS) services on the file server.

Check and re-start the MYOB Indexing Service
  1. At your Server desktop, click Start and follow the menu path: Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. The Services screen appears.
  2. If the Status column is blank for MYOB Indexing Service, right-click on the MYOB Indexing Serviceand select Start. Start appears in the Status column for the MYOB Indexing Service
