Error: "Fetch Chart Of Accounts failed with {"errors":[{"status":"401","code":"AccountRightLiveService...".... }}]} when launching Assets online

When launching Assets online for a client with an integrated AccountRight Live ledger, you may experience the following error:

Fetch Chart Of Accounts failed with: {"errors":[{"status":"401","code":"AccountRightLiveService-GetAccountRightLiveAccount-401","title":"AccountRight Live responded with an unexpected result","...}}]}


This error appears where the client has a password set up for Administrator in AccountRight Live ledger, and in AE/AO.

To resolve this error, remove the password from the Administrator user in both AccountRight Live ledger, and in AE/AO:

To remove administrator password for a client
  1. Open the client ledger in AccountRight Live.
  2. Go to User Access, under Manager Users tab, select Administrator.
  3. Remove any values in Password and Confirm Password and then click Save.
  4. Open the same client in AE/AO, choose Edit Configuration Details menu.

  5. Under user name Administrator, remove any value in Password and click OK.

  6. Re-launch Assets online.
