Error: "Roll over failed" in Tax 2021 (SQL)

In MYOB Tax, you may experience the error "Roll over failed" when running the Year End Routine for SQL Tax 2021.

1. Perform a data Integrity Check for the previous year

Perform data integrity check in the prior financial year to ensure any orphaned records are removed from MYOB Tax.

An "orphaned record" is information that no longer has a connection to any other data or database table.

2. Reset your 2021 tax data files

This process will clear any existing tax return data in the 2021 tax year.

If you've already lodged or started work on a 2021 tax return, export the return before resetting your tax data files. After resetting the 2020 tax data files, you can import the returns back in. and continue working.

3. Run the Year End Routine
  1. Log into System Release and open the Tax 2021 year.
  2. Follow the Year End Routine instructions.
