Error: "There was a problem connecting to the database" during the AO installation

In MYOB Accountants Office (MYOB AO), you may experience the following error "There was a problem connecting to the database" when performing the installation of MYOB AO.

Before installing, the installation wizard attempts to log in to your existing SQL database.  If the login ID and password combination is incorrect the error message appears indicating that there was a problem connecting to the database.
To avoid this error, you need to enter the correct login and password combination for the SQL database.

The default database credentials are:

Login ID: sa
Password: enter your sa password

If you are experiencing a problem entering your database credentials, please consult with your IT Specialist to confirm your SQL server login type, ID and password.
