Error: "Unhandled Exception has occurred in your application" when saving a document

This support note applies to:

In MYOB PDF Manager, you may receive the following error when saving a document to Document Manager from PDF Manager:

"Unhandled Exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Input string was not in the correct format".

To resolve this error, check the Client and Contact algorithms in the Document Creation Settings and remove any special characters within the brackets.

To check for special characters
  1. From within AE or AO, follow the menu path Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Documents > Document Creation Settings.
  2. Check the Client Algorithm and Contact Algorithm and remove any special characters (such as ' / ' in the example below) within the [brackets].

  3. To change click in the Algorithm column for the algorithm you're changing, and click the ellipses (

    ) button.

Example:

In this example, ' /1 ' is the incorrect part of the Client Algorithm, [CC-1/1]\. You can delete this part to correct the formula. The correct formula is [CC-1]\
