In MYOB Tax you may see the error "User SUPERVIS has been granted exclusive access to system services" when installing an update.

When running intallations or updates, this lock may be automatically applied and then not unlocked afterwards

To fix the error you'll need to set single user access to System Release.

By setting single user access, other users are not able to access System Release until the setting is changed back to multi-user access.

To set single users access
  1. From the Start menu, select Run. The Run window appears.
  2. Type X:\SOL64\SR EPSGLUSR <UserCode> in the Open field where:

    • X:\SOL64 is the location of System Release

    • <UserCode> is the user code of the relevant user in System Release

EPSGLUSR must be in UPPERCASE and the UserCode must be in the same case as it appears in System Release.

  3. Click OK.

The System Release splash screen appears with the message "Single user access has been granted to User <UserCode>".

To restore multi-user access
  1. From the Start menu, select Run. The Run window appears.
  2. Type x:\SOL64\SR EPSGLUSR /UNLOCK in the Open field, and press ENTER where X:\SOL64 is the drive location of System Release.

EPSGLUSR /UNLOCK must be in UPPERCASE.

The System Release splash screen appears then closes again the message "Single user access has been cleared" appears. Click OK and multi-user access is now restored.
