Error: "Value cannot be null" when attempting a Bulk Refresh of IRD data, or via the IRD Download Schedule

In MYOB Accountants Office (AO) Tax Manager you may experience the following error when attempting a Bulk Refresh of IRD Data, or via the IRD Download Schedule:

"Agency name: [practice name]
error: Value cannot be null
Parameter name: collection"

This error can occur when the incorrect Agency IRD number and Online services login and password are recorded in MYOB AO Tax Manager under Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Tax > Maintain Agencies.

To resolve this error, you will need to check and correct the Tax Agency Details.

To edit the Tax Agency Details

Perform the following steps in MYOB AO.

  1. Follow the menu path: Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Tax > Maintain Agencies. The Maintenance > Agency Details tab opens.
  2. Highlight Agency and from the Tasks panel, click Edit agency details. The Maintain Agency Details window opens.
  3. Check and correct the Agency IRD number along with the Online services login and Online services password entered.

    If you are unsure, access the IRD Online Services webpage.


  4. Click OK. The changes are saved.
  5. Repeat Step 2 - Step 4 if there are multiple Tax agents within the practice.
