Explanation of Corporate Compliance Utilities

Following is information regarding the purpose of each utility available in the Corporate Compliance Utilities module. The Corporate Compliance Utilities module is available in Corporate Compliance 2.0 onwards.

Corporate Compliance Utilities module is available on both the client and server, however there are different options depending on whether you are accessing the Utilities module via client or server.


Corporate Compliance Utilities - Server

These are the utilities available on the Corporate Compliance Server only.

Database references

From the Settings menu, select Database References.

This window displays the details of the Corporate Compliance database that is established on the server.

This utility also allows you to change the timeout period. This determines the time that will be allowed to elapse before the system terminates a task in Corporate Compliance.

Profiles Integration Path 

From the Settings menu, select Profiles Integration Path.

This window displays the Profiles program location that Corporate Compliance is set to integrate with. This is established during installation. Also displayed are the name and location of the profiles database that Corporate Compliance integrates with.

This utility allows you to:

·         register a change to the Profiles program location; and

·         register a change to the location of the profiles database location.

This setting is only available when the integration mode for this server is set to 'Profiles Integrated'.

Electronic Lodgement Path

From the Settings menu, select Electronic Lodgement Path.

This window displays the location of the files sent to and received from the ASIC during an electronic lodgement session.

Update database

From the Tools menu, select Update Database.

This utility displays the current version of the Corporate Compliance database. This utility is used to update the Corporate Compliance database to the latest version. This is only required if an earlier version of the Corporate Compliance database is restored.

Reset database access

From the Tools menu, select Reset Database Access.

This tool resets internal system logins and passwords within the Corporate Compliance database. You should only use this option on advice from Support.

Licensing

This utility displays the licensing details for the non-integrated version of Corporate Compliance, including the number of managed companies the database allows.

This utility allows you to change the licence details.

This setting is only available when the integration mode is 'Non Integrated'.

Corporate Compliance Utilities - Client

 

These are the utilities available on the Corporate Compliance workstations only. 

Database Location

This utility displays the current corporate compliance server that the client workstation is set up to user.

If you have more than one Corporate Compliance server, this utility allows you to switch between servers.

Profiles Program Location

This utility displays the profiles program location and profiles database location as used by the server. This utility also displays the profiles program location that is registered for corporate compliance on the workstation.

This utility updates the client workstation if the profiles program location has changed.

This utility also updates the profiles program used by the client workstation with the information required to run Corporate Compliance from Contacts. This is only required if the client workstation is using a different copy of Profiles to that used on the server.

Corporate Compliance Utilities - Common utilities

 

These are the utilities available on the Corporate Compliance Server and each client workstation.

Event Logs

This is a list of all warning and error messages logged by the Corporate Compliance application. You can export these messages and send to Support when there is a problem with Corporate Compliance. 

System Information

This utility allows you to run detailed diagnostics on the selected machine. You can provide this information to support to help troubleshoot any environment or database issues.
