In MYOB Portal you may be required to delete a User or Contributor in the client Portal such as when a user or contributor has left the business or has been added incorrectly to the client Portal.

When a user or contributor has been deleted from the Portal they will no longer be able to log in and access their client portal.

To delete a user or contributor from the Clients module, from the Portal tab click Edit next to the client portal you wish to edit then click the X icon next to the user contributor you wish to delete.

How to delete users and contributors
  1. From MYOB AE/AO, click the Live cloud icon on the toolbar. A new web browser window opens to the Clients module in AE/AO Live.

Alternatively, you can open a web browser and navigate to http://partner.myob.com. You may be required to sign into the portal using your my.MYOB login.
  2. From the Clients module, click the Portals tab. The Portals tab displays a list of client portals.
  3. Click the Edit button next to the client portal you wish to delete users for. The Edit Portal page displays.
  4. Click the

    X or delete
icon next to the user you want to remove. The user or contributor's access is removed from the portal.

Users or contributors cannot be removed from a portal if they have an assigned open Task. All tasks must be marked as completed before the user or contributor can be removed.

  5. Click Update. The changes are saved.

If you receive a warning that the user has open tasks and cannot be deleted, you must either close the task from the Tasks module or delete the task if it was created in error and documents have not been signed.
