Issues caused by incorrectly set font size or screen resolution

MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and Accountants Office (AO) software is tested for a range of environments, however, certain settings can still cause anomalies.

Resolutions below 1440 x 900 pixels are not supported, and the software is only tested on the standard 96 DPI font size setting. Changing this can cause undesirable results, such as:

  • Text overlapping or not appearing
  • Boxes not appearing
  • Buttons not visible
  • Mouse movements and clicks not registering
  • Scroll wheel not usable
To change the text size:
  1. On your Windows desktop, right-click on any blank space and from the drop-down menu, select Display settings.
  2. Under "Change the size of text, apps, and other items:" drag the slider until this becomes 100%.
  3. Click Apply to save your changes.

    You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

    If you have a high-resolution monitor, don't change the display size to 200%. Leave it at 100%.

To change the screen resolution:
  1. On your Windows desktop, right-click on any blank space and from the drop-down menu, select Display settings.
  2. Click Advanced display settings located underneath the Apply and Cancel buttons.
  3. Click on the drop-down menu under Resolution and select the recommended size (must be at least 1440 x 900). For example:
  4. Click Apply to save your changes.

    You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
