What does this mean for you?

To protect your practice from security risks and viruses it is vital you upgrade to a supported Microsoft operating system. We encourage you to do this before 31 December 2019.

Microsoft ceased to offer ‘Mainstream’ support for all these technologies during a four-year period from 2011 to 2015. Their ‘Extended’ support has since continued to give you access to security updates that keep you protected against security issues and the threat of viruses including ransomware/cryptolockers.

From 14 January 2020, there will be no more security updates to help keep you protected.

Will MYOB offer any support beyond 14 January 2020?

MYOB continues to provide 1st level assistance for unsupported environments. This means that if you have a problem and we happen to know the cause, we will help. However, if the cause of your issue isn’t known, we are unable to escalate the issue for further investigation as our products are not designed or tested for unsupported environments.

The table below further explains the type of support provided for different environments.

Not sure if you need to update?

Download our Environmental Utility Tool or consult with your IT professional.

Continuing to operate on an unsupported Microsoft operating system puts your practice security at enhanced risk. We highly recommend upgrading as soon as possible if you need to do so.
