Moving Intranet documents folder to another drive

This support note applies to:

  • AO Document Manager (AU)

  • AO Document Manager (NZ)

It is possible to move the Intranet Documents folder from one drive to another drive on the same server.

An example of this would be the Intranet Store is currently on C:\MYOB\Knowledge Management\Intranet\Data and you wish to move this to another hard drive on the same computer for example, E:\MYOB\Knowledge Management\Intranet\Data.

As the folder is set up as a share, the move is possible.

You cannot use this process to move the Intranet Document Store to another computer/server.

To copy the folder to the new drive

  1. Copy the folder to the new drive.

    You will be prompted that you are going to lose the Share, click OK.

  2. Once the folder has been copied, right mouse click and set up a new share on the folder, the Share is MyobIntranetData.

  3. Give everyone Full Access under Permissions.

  4. Test you can open Intranet Documents.

  5. Remove the old folder.
