Notifying a change of address for Corporations and People

When notifying the address change of a person or company, the Notify Change of Address and Notify change of name and address wizards automatically generate a form for every officer, company and member that shared the address and automatically update the address history details of these contacts. This feature is available from Corporate Compliance 2.1 onwards.

You are now able to:

  • Nominate the contacts that the change of address applies to; and
  • Nominate the companies that you want to generate an ASIC form for.

 

To notify change of address for corporations
From the Corporations list, select the required company and select the task Notify change of address. The Change for Corporation Address wizard is displayed.

2.      Select the checkboxes that the change of address applies to, and click Next. The Change of business address window is displayed.

3.      Type the date of change and click Next. The Change of Registered Address window is displayed.

4.      Type the date of change and click Next. A list of corporations that share the changed address will display

 Those companies or people that share the changed address will be listed on this screen to allow you to select and produce forms for them 

5.      Ensure that the contacts that you want to produce forms for are selected and click Next. The list of managed companies that share the changed address as their current registered or business address is displayed.

As this is a list of managed companies, you will not get the option to deselect any of the companies listed as forms will automatically be produced. If a company you wish not to have an address change for is listed, you will need to delete the form for that company and change the address so it is no longer shared.

6.      Select the documents you wish to produce and click Next. The Select the companies that require notification to the ASIC window is displayed.

7.      Ensure the companies that you want to Create ASIC form or document for are selected and click Next. The Confirm signing officer and date signed window is displayed.

8.      Highlight each corporation and click Change details The Change signing details window is displayed.

9.      Complete or change the signing details and select the "In response to annual statement box" if required and click OK and Next The Change of Corporation Address window is displayed.

10.  Fill out the meeting details if displayed and click Next. The Finish window is displayed.

11.  Ensure the documents you wish to preview are selected and click Finish. The Forms Completion Report window is displayed.

 
To notify change of name or address for a person

1.      From the People task menu, highlight the person and select the task Notify change of name or address. The Notify change of name or address wizard displayed.

2.      Ensure that the Notify change of address checkbox is selected, and click Next. The Change of Person's address window is displayed.

3.      Type the Date of change, and click Next. The list of officers that share the address being changed window is displayed.

4.      Click Next. A list of all current officers of managed companies that share the changed address as their residential address is displayed.

If the selected person shares its residential address with any other contact, the contacts list is displayed. This is a full list of all other contacts that share the nominated address(es) as their current registered or business address, companies, or residential address, people, is displayed

5.      Select the checkbox next to the contacts that you want to produce documents for and click Next. A list of members that share the changed address as their current registered or business address is displayed.

6.      Click Next. The Select the documents you want to produce window is displayed.

7.      Select the forms that you want to produce and Click Next. A Select the companies that require notification to ASIC window is displayed.

8.      Select the companies that you want to generate a form or document for, and click Next. The Confirm signing officer and the date signed window is displayed.

9.      Highlight each corporation and click Change details The Change signing details window is displayed.

10.    Complete or change the signing details and tick the "In response to annual statement box" if required and click OK and Next. The meeting details entry window will be displayed for each managed company you elected to generate forms & documents for

11.    Type the date and time of meeting, and select the meeting attendees and click Next. The Finish window is displayed.

12.    Click Finish. The Report Viewer is displayed, showing the Forms Completion Report and the ASIC form for each selected company.
