In MYOB Tax, on your pre-fill report you may notice that there are 'Total current year CG amount' and 'Net capital gains amount' listed in the 'Managed Fund Distributions' section but they are not pre-filled into the 'dit' schedule.
This happens when the ATO doesn't provide any information on methods used to calculate CGT, which means that the 'Capital gains discounted method' and 'Capital gains other method' shows 0 on the pre-fill report.
To fix the issue, you can either delete the pre-filled 'dit' schedule and manually enter one, or make a separate entry in the CGT worksheet.
However we strongly recommend that you obtain the original distribution statement from your client, or make your own professional judgment on the method that should be used to report CGT before completing your tax return.
