Re-synchronising client data in AE Tax

This support note applies to:

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Tax if you experience data not appear to be transferring from one database to another, for example from the AE Practice Manager database to the AE Tax database. 

 To resolve this MYOB Support may advise you to re-synchronise your client data.  Following is information regarding how to perform this process.

Only perform this process on the advice of MYOB Support.

You can re-synchronise a specific client's data or your entire client data. Select from the following links for your required process:

To re-synchronise a specific client's data
  1. At the Windows Desktop, follow the menu path: Start > Programs > MYOB Accountants Enterprise > MYOB Administration Centre.

  2. Highlight the appropriate stream for the required database in the right-hand pane, then select Re-synchronise Publisher in the left-hand pane.

    Which stream you select depends on whether or not you use Practice Manager.  Please ensure that you make the correct selection as follows:
    Viztopia to AE Tax stream:  if you have Practice Manager.
    Profiles to AE Tax stream:  if you do not have Practice Manager.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the All Data option and then click Next.
  5. Select the Specify clients option and then highlight the affected client and click Next.
  6. Click Finish. The MYOB Re-synchronisation window appears during the re-synchronisation. 
  7. Click OK.
    In the Notes column you may see the message 'Resync in progress'.  Once completed, the message disappears.
  8. From the File menu select Exit.
To re-synchronise your entire client data
  1. At the Windows Desktop, follow the menu path: Start > Programs > MYOB Accountants Enterprise > MYOB Administration Centre.
  2. Highlight theappropriate stream for the required database in the right-hand pane, then select Re-synchronise Publisher in the left-hand pane.

    Which stream you select depends on whether or not you use Practice Manager.  Please ensure that you make the correct selection as follows:
    Viztopia to AE Tax stream:  if you have Practice Manager.
    Profiles to AE Tax stream:  if you do not have Practice Manager.
  3. Click Next.

  4. Select the All Data option and then click Next.

  5. Select the All clients option and then highlight the affected client and click Next.

  6. Click Finish. The MYOB Re-synchronisation window appears during the re-synchronisation. 

  7. Click OK.
    In the Notes column you may see the message 'Resync in progress'.  Once completed, the message disappears.

  8. From the File menu select Exit.
