Rectifying a trial balance with profit and loss figures as credits and no balance sheet figures

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise MAS (AE MAS), when you print a trial balance, it may display the profit and loss amounts as credits and not display balance sheet amounts at all.

This can occur after you perform a year-end routine where there is a blank line at the top of the client chart of accounts.

To correct the values

Restore the MAS ledger from before the balance forward.
Remove the blank line from the client chart of accounts.
1. Open System Services and go into the MAS ledger. The MAS ledger profile appears.
2. Go to Setup > Client Files > Client Chart. The Client Chart window appears.
3. Select the blank line at the top of the client chart and click Delete. A message appears confirming the deletion.
4. Click Yes. The line is removed.
5. Press Esc on your keyboard. The MAS ledger profile appears.
Balance forward the MAS ledger again. The figures are correct when you print the trial balance.
