Reporting on extras when using the option to allow multiple

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) and Accountants Office (AO) you may have Extra Lists configured to allow multiple, which means that clients may display either a single value or multiple values under the Extra tab for a particular Extra List.

To run a report to view one of the values, you will need to use the Like command in the Filter column to find all of the instances where this value has been selected. This is because the system treats the values (even though there are multiple values listed) as one field.

For example, you may have some clients that display the following information:

  • Client 1—Seminar
  • Client 2—Seminar, Lunch Invite, Xmas Letter
  • Client 3—Lunch Invite, Seminar

Should you wish to list all of the clients that have Seminar, you would type Like *Seminar* in the Filter column to list all clients with this value.
