In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Accounts you may be required to restore data from a backup.

If you have used Client File Maintenance to back up the Accounts ledger, you can use Client File Maintenance to restore your data. However, this is only one method of restoring data. Depending on the method you use to back up your accounts data, you may have other methods of restoring available to you.

This article will step you through the process of restoring a backup in Client File Maintenance.

How to restore an Accounts ledger through Client File Maintenance
  1. From MYOB AE, open the relevant client and click Client Compliance on the TASKS pane. Alternatively, if you use Contacts to access Accounts, open your client's profile from within Contacts.

  2. In Client Compliance, from the Tools menu, select Client File Maintenance.

  3. In the File Group field, type ACT then press the Enter key on the keyboard.

  4. Enter the name associated with the relevant backup in the Selection field, for example BACK-1. Then press Enter on the keyboard.
  5. In the Selection field, type R to restore then press Enter. If you have Assets data associated with the Accounts ledger, the Assets data is also restored.

  6. Press Esc on the keyboard to close Client File Maintenance.
