Restoring a System Release Tax Ledger backup

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE), if you are using Non-SQL Tax and you use System Release to back up a Tax ledger year, you'll need to use the Ledger Restore Wizard to restore the data.

You may also be required to restore a single ledger from backup if you experience a corruption in the ledger at the request of support or as per the instructions in another knowledgebase article.

To restore the System Release Ledger backup
  1. Log in to System Release with administrator level 6* security access. If you don't have level 6* security access then log in with the following credentials:
    User code: SUPERVIS
    Password: S6

  2. From the Folders window, double-click the Ledgers folder to open.

    If the Folders window does not appear, on the Task bar under Administration, select Folders.
  3. From the File menu located on the top-left of the screen, select Restore. The Ledger Restore Wizard appears.
  4. Click Next, then in the Select backup window click Browse to navigate to the folder your backup is saved in.

  5. Highlight the folder containing your backup and click OK. A list of System Release ledger backups appear under Backups available at this location.

  6. Select the name of the ledger you wish to restore, then click Next.

  7. Check that the Target folder is the folder where the ledger was backed up from. If not, click
    ellipses button
    to select the correct folder. Click Next.
  8. Click Finish then Yes to all to restore the ledger,

The Tax ledger backup is restored.
