Run time error "10: This array is fixed or temporarily locked" in a Terminal Server environment when previewing reports

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Reporter you may experience the Run time error "10: This array is fixed or temporarily locked" in a Terminal Server environment when previewing reports.

To produce financial reports ensure that the registry key GeneratorPreviewZoomLevel is present on both the Terminal Server and the Workstation and that the value for this key is set to 100%.

If the error continues to occur, reduce the screen resolution on the Terminal Server.

How to change the registry setting

On the Terminal Server from the Windows Desktop, click Start and select Run. The Run command window opens.
Type in the command regedit and click OK. The Registry Editor window opens.
Navigate to the folder HKEY_Current_User\Software\Solution6\Reporter\Settings. The names of the string values for the folder Settings appear in the right hand pane of the Registry Editor window.
On the right hand pane of the Registry Editor window check whether the string value GeneratorPreviewZoomLevel is present. Where this string value is present go to Step 7. Where this string value is not present go to Step 5.
Right-click on the right hand pane and select New then String Value. A new string is created and the Name field is editable.
Enter GeneratorPreviewZoomLevel and press ENTER. The string value GeneratorPreviewZoomLevel is saved.
Right click on the string value GeneratorPreviewZoomLevel and select Modify. The Edit String window opens.
In the Value data field change the value to be 100% and click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
Close the Registry Editor window. The Windows Desktop appears.
Repeat from Step 1 for the Workstation.

Internal Notes:

Another registry setting to review and amend when the above is unsuccessful is GeneratorPreviewWindowState.

Change this setting to 2, or if it is already set to 2, change it to be 1 and review the result. If still unsucessful, change it back to 2, ie refreshing the original value.
