The document Setting up the bank reconciliation in AE Practice Manager.pdf explains by way of example how to create the opening cash book balance and unpresented cheques in AE Practice Manager for the bank reconciliation. The basic steps are:
- Present and clear all the entries that are not outstanding, ie. those created by the conversion from your previous system or those reconciled elsewhere.
- Enter any outstanding items prior to the commencement date of the bank reconciliation.
- Update the cash book balance to be correct by entering an adjusting cash book payment or receipt.
