You may experience slow performance with MYOB Accountants Enterprise (MYOB AE) or MYOB Accountants Office (MYOB AO).

The attached batch file utility - speedup.txt, performs a number of functions including re-indexing the AE/AO database.

To run the utility
  1. Download speedup.txtand save the file into a folder on C:\ drive of the SQL server.
  2. Right-click on the speedup.txt file and from the drop-down menu, select Rename.
  3. Change the name of the speedup.txt file to speedup.bat.
  4. On the desktop of the SQL server, right-click on the Windows Start menu

    and choose Run.

  5. In the Open field, type C:\speedup.bat_SERVERNAME\INSTANCENAME_DATABASE NAME. Where:

    • SERVERNAME is your SQL Server name

    • INSTANCENAME is the name of the SQL server instance (for example, MSSQLServer, MYOBACCT)
    • DATABASE NAME is the name of your database (for example, VPMSER, AEDB1 or AODB1)

    • _ is a space.

  6. Once the utility has been run twice, re-start all MYOB Services from within Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and (if applicable) re-start the Vizpost background processes or Admin centre post-processes.

This utility should be run twice. Run the utility again, immediately after the first one completes.
