This page is a reference for all 2020.0 issues that:

  • have been resolved in a hotfix release, or
  • are still outstanding and for which we're working on a solution. We'll keep adding issues to this page as they're found.

MYOB Tax 2020.2a hotfix release

MYOB Tax 2020.2a is available on my.myob. This hotfix release address 2 PLS rejection and 1 validation error message. See release notes for more information.

MYOB Tax 2020.2 (5.4.37) release

MYOB Tax 2020.2 is available on my.myob. This release includes FBT 2021 forms and other tax fixes. See the release notes.

This release includes the previous release (MYOB Tax 2020.1/5.4.36) and all the hotfixes. To see all the issues resolved in the previous releases, see Release notes (Australia).

Estimate issues  
SBE Private use reduction factor incorrect for 2020In a 2020 individual return, in the depreciation worksheet > SBE private use tab > enter Tax year added to pool is set to 2020 or prior, the Reduction factor is incorrect.We're aware of this issue and working on a solution. 00498241

Data entry   

Capital gains worksheet with the same description doesn't appear in the

When entering the capital gains worksheet with the same description and category T (Trust distributions including Managed funds), the second worksheet is not appearing in the Select Capital gains window.

We're aware of this issue and working on a solution.

As a workaround, enter unique descriptions in the Capital gains worksheet.

Printing issues
Printing blank pages or multiple copies of the tax return

When printing an individual tax return from Reports > Print Return, you may see blank pages.

You'll also see multiple copies of the same tax return when printing lodgement reports from Tax Reports in AE/AO

We're aware of this issue and working on a solution.

In the meantime, use the workaround below:

  1. Open the tax return.
  2. Go to Preparation > Delete schedules.
  3. Delete the line with No with 0 and Description - Individual tax return (EI).

    If you can't find the line with 0 in the delete schedule window, contact Support.

If you've entered value at the Deductible amount of UPP label in the Australian annuities payment summary (aap) worksheet, you'll see an adjustment of that amount in the notice of assessment. For further information, contact the ATO.
