Tax Notice 'Basis' incorrect when return status is changed from Finalised to Active

In MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) or Accountants Office (AO) Tax you may experience the Basis in the Tax Notice does not update to the prior year when the current year return is changed from Finalised to Active. This may cause the Tax Notice to be incorrect.
W
hen finalising a tax return, the Basis is updated to 2017 Standard for the Summary, Provisional Tax Calculator and Tax Notice details.

In MYOB AE, when a Finalised tax return is reverted back to status Active, the Basis updates. For example, from 2017 Standard to 2016 Standard (if it were the 2017 tax return) in Summary and Provisional Tax Calculator, but NOT in Tax Notice details.  Instead, Tax notice details incorrectly displays as 2017 Standard.

To resolve this issue, you will need to change the Provisional Tax Calculator to Estimate, then back to Standard. In MYOB AO, when a return has been prepared the Basis incorrectly shows as No Returns rather than displaying the prior year.

This is a display issue only. These clients will have $0.00 Provisional Tax due.
