Timesheet transactions not displaying in the WIP Transfer window

In MYOB Practice Manager (PM) you can process a WIP Transfer to allow WIP entries to be moved/transferred between client assignments.

For example, a client who is a sole trader might become part of another company that is already a client of your company.  In these circumstances, you might want to transfer the sole trader's WIP to the other company to enable you to close the sole trader record in the system.

In some circumstances not all WIP entries or assignments are available for transfer.

WIP entries that can not be transferred are due to the following situations:

  • The entry is partially or fully billed; or
  • The entry currently belongs to a client assignment with a task related schedule attached.

In addition to this, assignments that are Held do not appear for selection.

 

When you are unable to transfer the wip, you can include the wip in a bill by using the Add assignment or Add assignments from client (AE) or Add Job or Add job from client (AO) in Stage 2 of the Billing Wizard. This allows you to pull in the wip from the specific Client assignment/job and include one or all entries from this other client in your bill.

Where the wip is summarised as per the examples below, you can double click the client name to drill down to see the individual entries.
