Total Amount Paid on C4 table of Form 484C is calculated on the original fair value not the consideration value of the share.

This support note applies to:

  • AO Corporate Compliance (AU)
  • AE Corporate Compliance (AU)
Article ID: 30233

In MYOB Corporate Compliance when doing a share transfer, the field Total $ paid on these shares within the C4 table of the Form 484 is calculated on the original fair value at the time the share was issued.

This is correct. It does not refer to the consideration paid on the share in the transfer transaction.

This value is calculated using:

Original fair value x Total Shares now held = Total $ paid on these shares

For example:

Where 100 shares are originally issued at a fair value of $1 each, and all 100 shares are then transferred to a new shareholder for a total consideration of $200.00

The following value would be correct in the resulting Form 484 C4 table:

Total Shares now held = 100

Total $ paid on these shares = $100

The consideration of $2 per share in the transfer is not noted anywhere on the Form 484C.
