Turning off the Insert Reference feature for Excel spreadsheets

In MYOB Document Manager (DM) after the upgrade to version 4.0.7, you may experience all spreadsheets that had a status of In Progress now having the Reference Number included when previewing or printing. Or you may experience the spreadsheets taking a long time to open if it has multiple tabs.

To fix these issues, you need to turn off the reference number feature.

To turn off the reference number display setting in MS Excel

This is a system-wide setting; these instructions will apply to all Excel documents.

  1. In AE or AO, go to Maintenance > Maintenance Maps > Documents > Document Manager Setup.

  2. Select Application.

  3. Deselect the Show reference number in footer for MS Excel documents checkbox.
    This setting will now apply to any Excel documents opened thereafter.
