Unable to change Invoice number within Billing

Within MYOB Practice Manager, you may find you are not able to edit the invoice number field due to security permissions.

To correct the issue, you will need to update security permissions for the relevant employee security groups to allow access to the field.

To set up permissions to be able to change invoice numbers
  1. In MYOB Practice Manager, follow the menu path Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Security > Task Permissions. The Task Permissions screen appears.
  2. Select Practice Manager from the Product drop down list.

  3. Select the relevant security group from the Group drop down list.
  4. Narrow down the permissions you are searching for by typing Bills into the Search box.  Only permissions that include the word Bills are displayed.
  5. Click the + sign to the left of the Other group description, tick the Allow box for #Bills #Can Edit Bill Number and click OK.

    The employees in this security group now need to exit out of AE/AO and log back in for the change to take effect.

  6. Once you have logged back in, test that you are now able to edit the bill number field.
