Uninstalling MYOB Accountants Enterprise Reporter

This support note applies to:

  • AE Reporter (NZ)
  • AE Reporter (AU)

In some circumstances you may need to refresh the MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Reporter application on your system, this may be due to a corruption of the application files or if something impeded the successful installation of the application.

To refresh the application you may need to remove it prior to reinstalling fresh from Control Panel > Programs and Features.

To uninstall MYOB AE Reporter
  1. Follow the menu path:Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.A list of installed applications appears including:
    MYOB AE Reporter 3.x; and/or
    MYOB AE Reporter Integration (Workstation 3.x).

    3.x can include AE Reporter version 3.3 and/or 3.4.
  2. Right-click on the relevant application and select Uninstall/Change. The Uninstall wizard opens.

  3. Continue through the wizard to complete the removal of the application. The application is removed.

    Repeat steps 2 and 3 for every item showing MYOB AE Reporter and MYOB AE Reporter Integration.

MYOB INTERNAL STAFF ONLY

You can also uninstall AE Reporter using the unwise.exe file as follows:

  1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to the Reporter installed location. By default, reporter workstation is installed to:
    32 bitC:\Program Files\MYOB\ Reporter\
    64 bit - C:\Program Files(x86)\MYOB\Reporter

  2. Open the Installation Logs folder and double click the Unwise.exe file.
  3. Navigate to the Installation Logs folder then type S in the File name.
  4. Select the log file for the latest version of Assets and click Open.
  5. Select Automatic and click Next. If you have an option to perform a rollback at this point, select No.
  6. Navigate to the following locations and rename the Reporter folder to Reporter.old.
    32 bitC:\Program Files\MYOB\ Reporter\
    64 bit - C:\Program Files(x86)\MYOB\Reporter
  7. Click Finish.

If you have installed Reporter using any other location you also need to run unwise.exe from the relevant installed location.

For example, if you have install logs in C:\ then you need to execute C:\Installation\Logs\unwise.exe and at Step 3, navigate to C:\Installation Logs\ to select the required file.
